Materials Engineer – Soundlines Group – Saudi Arabia
Job Description:
Soundlines Group is looking for a Materials Engineer to be placed in Saudi Arabia.
Qualification:
Bachelor of Engineering and/or a Degree Holder in any relevant discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in material management. Gulf experience preferred.
Develop and implement new and innovative methods in building materials such as soil, concrete and steel.
Conduct or supervise tests on raw materials or finished products in order to ensure their quality.
Monitor and supervise material performance and evaluate material conformance to specifications.
Develop material and fabrication procedures that meet cost, product specification and performance standards.
Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results in order to determine the causes of problems and develop solutions.
Make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives, such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity and cost.Preparation of equipment and materials specifications from drawings, developing enquiry documents, bid evaluations, purchase recommendations, procurement, vendor documents review, expediting, inspections, etc.
