Job Description:
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority invites applications from qualified, experience and highly motivated professionals for the position of the “Project Manager for the Construction of Thar Airport, near Islamkot  Mithi, District Tharparkar” a Project of Sindh Coal Authority, Coal & Energy Development Department, govt. of Sindh.

The PM will represent the CAA during the project implementation phase. It is the highest responsible position where professional and management skills shall be of prime importance. interested candidates must possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

Project Manager (Thar Airport)

Education:
BSc in Civil Engineering preferably with MS in Airport Engineering from an internationally accredited and recognized University. The additional qualification of an MBA will be advantageous. Registration with PEC is required.

Pay: Around Rs.100,000/-

Professional Experience: 25-30 Years, including working as Senior Project Manager for an Owner (Employer) or a Program Management Consultant or a major International Construction

Age: Maximum 55 Years

Contract:
02 Years (Extendable) Contractor on a similar airport construction project as Islamkot Airport.

Training and Skills:

preferably should have training and / or undertaken short-courses to update skills and knowledge-base on the following aspects associated with project management.

ICAO and FAA guidelines, procedures and standards on design, construction, operation and maintenance of major airport facility.
Project Management and/or Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI).
Proficient in using computer tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Communication Skills:
Should have leadership characteristics with effective communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to prepare/make presentations at various high-level forums.

Other Essential Skills:
The Candidate should have thorough knowledge of international procurement procedures for designers, construction contractors. construction and other interrelated aspects controlling progress of project implementation.

Highest Standard of Professional Ethics:

The Candidate should possess an ability to serve the public and fellow employees with honesty and integrity in full accord with the letter and spirit of the International Code of Conduct. Work Ethics and Conflict of Interest policies. The Candidate should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, elected and appointed officials and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, religion, age, sex, disability or political affiliation.
